These Terms & Conditions govern your use of 7 SHAHN. Please read them carefully. By using the website or creating an account, you agree to be bound by them.
1. Definitions
- “7 SHAHN”, “we”, “us” means the owner and operator of the 7 SHAHN website.
- “User”, “you” means any person, company or organisation that visits or uses the website.
- “Member” means a User who has created an account, including shipping companies and import & export companies.
- “Content” means any information a User publishes or sends through the website, such as company profiles, logos, freight requests, quotes and messages.
- “Services” means everything offered on the website, free or paid.
2. Acceptance of these terms
By visiting the website, creating an account, publishing a profile or a freight request, or sending a quote or a message, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms & Conditions, our Privacy Policy and our Disclaimer, which form part of these terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the website.
3. Our role: a platform only
7 SHAHN is an online platform that displays shipping services and connects importers, exporters and shipping companies. We are not a shipping line, freight forwarder, carrier, agent or customs broker. We do not handle, store, insure or transport any cargo, and we do not receive or hold any payment for shipments.
7 SHAHN is not a party to any shipment, quote, deal, contract or payment between Users, whether arranged on the website or outside it, and has no responsibility for carrying it out. Every agreement is made solely between the Users involved.
4. Accounts and registration
- You must be at least 18 years old and authorised to act on behalf of the company you register.
- All information you provide must be true, accurate and up to date, and you must keep it updated.
- You are responsible for keeping your login details secret and for all activity under your account.
- The website is intended for business use only.
5. Profiles and Content
You are solely responsible for all Content you publish or send, and you confirm that you own it or have the right to use it, including any logos, names, text and images.
You grant 7 SHAHN a free, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to display, store and format your Content on the website for as long as it is published.
7 SHAHN may, at its sole discretion and without notice, review, edit, refuse, suspend or remove any profile, freight request or other Content that it considers unsuitable, misleading or unlawful, or where a Member is considered to act in an unprofessional manner. Our decision is final.
6. Freight requests, quotes and messages
Freight requests published by Members are visible to the public. Quotes and messages between Users are delivered by email and are not stored or monitored by 7 SHAHN.
We do not guarantee that any freight request will receive quotes, that any quote will be accepted, or that any information exchanged between Users is accurate. Any price, transit time or condition offered is the sole responsibility of the company offering it.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- publish false, misleading or fraudulent information, or pretend to be another person or company;
- use the website for any unlawful purpose, including the shipment of prohibited or illegal goods;
- send spam or collect other Users’ contact details for unsolicited marketing;
- copy, scrape or extract data from the website by automated means;
- upload viruses or any code that may harm the website or its Users, or try to access parts of the website without permission.
8. Fraud and disputes between Users
7 SHAHN is not responsible for any fraud, scam, theft, misrepresentation, non-payment, non-delivery, delay, loss or damage to goods, or any other wrongdoing by any User or third party. Each User must carry out their own checks before dealing with others (see our Due Diligence guide).
Any dispute between Users must be settled directly between them. 7 SHAHN will not take part in any such dispute, and you release 7 SHAHN, its owners and its team from any claim, demand or damages arising out of or connected with it.
9. Paid services
Creating an account and publishing freight requests are currently free. 7 SHAHN may introduce paid services, such as premium listings or advertising, in the future.
If you buy a paid service, its price, duration, payment terms and cancellation or refund conditions will be shown to you before you pay, and they will form part of these terms. Prices do not include any taxes that apply. 7 SHAHN may suspend or remove a paid service if an agreed payment is not made or is disputed.
10. Intellectual property
The website, its design, code, text, graphics and the 7 SHAHN name and logo belong to 7 SHAHN and are protected by copyright and other laws. You may not copy, reproduce or pass them to any third party without our written permission.
Other company names, logos and trademarks shown on the website belong to their respective owners.
11. Third-party websites
The website contains links to third-party websites, such as the official pages of shipping lines and cargo airlines. We do not control those websites and are not responsible for their content, availability or practices.
12. No warranties
The website and the Services are provided “as is” and “as available”, without any warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that the website will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that any information on it is accurate, complete or up to date.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, 7 SHAHN, its owners and its team will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential loss or damage, including loss of profit, business, goods, data or reputation, arising from the use of the website or from any dealings between Users.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid to 7 SHAHN, if any, in the twelve months before the claim.
14. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless 7 SHAHN, its owners and its team against any claims, losses, damages, costs and legal fees arising from your Content, your use of the website, your dealings with other Users, or any breach of these terms.
15. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close any account, at any time and without notice, if we believe that these terms have been breached or that the account is being used for fraud or any other harmful purpose. You may stop using the website at any time.
16. Privacy
We handle your personal information as described in our Privacy Policy, and we make reasonable efforts to keep the information we receive confidential.
Messages that you send to other Users through the website may be reviewed by the site administrator to keep the platform safe and to prevent fraud and misuse.
17. Changes to these terms
We may change these Terms & Conditions at any time. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last updated. By continuing to use the website after a change, you accept the updated terms.
18. General
- If we do not enforce any part of these terms, or delay doing so, this does not mean that we give up any of our rights.
- If any part of these terms is found to be illegal, invalid or unenforceable, the rest of the terms remain in full force.
- These terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the Disclaimer, form the entire agreement between you and 7 SHAHN about the use of the website.
- You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these terms without our written consent.
19. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms & Conditions and any dispute connected with them or with the use of the website are governed by the laws of Egypt. The courts of Egypt have exclusive jurisdiction over any such dispute.
